(Granollers, Barcelona, 1871 – Rabat, Marruecos, 1951). Geógrafo y botánico y edafólogo. En 1906 publicó Geografía general, en la que introdujo la terminología de la escuela geográfica alemana de F. Ratzel. Fundó la sección española de la Asociación Internacional de la Ciencia del Suelo y realizó la primera sistematización edafológica de España.
