Situación Se encuentra situada a los 15° 37' de latitud N, en el triángulo de confluencia del Nilo Blanco (Bakr al-Abyad) con el Nilo Azul (Bahr al-Azraq), donde forma una conurbación de más de ocho millones habitantes por las tres aglomeraciones de Omdurmán, en la orilla O. del Nilo Azul; la propia Jartum, en la orilla E., y, al S. del Nilo Azul, la ciudad europea y Jartum Norte, creada por los ingleses.
