Formación Realizó estudios de Arquitectura, que tuvo que interrumpir al estallar la II Guerra Mundial (1939-1945). Trabajó al mismo tiempo como actor, en compañías de teatro aficionado, con las que viajó a Singapur. Intervino además en algunos espectáculos por encargo de la Combined Service Entertaiment Unit.
